Rainy Day in July

What do you do when it rains in July and you can't spend the day at the beach? Go out to lunch with someone you love! The Mr. and I enjoyed a romantic trip to the mall. I feasted on bacon cheeseburger pizza from Rocky's. Yum! Or as Fred Dawson would say, "Smack, smack!" There is no one else I would rather spend a rainy day with... :)

Here is a random picture from Fort Hood Texas a few years ago. Did you see this one already? It is Corey, Eve, and Barry!

Little Angel Shines

Baby Griffin had his baptism on Saturday! Thanks for the lovely luncheon and good times!
Sue you are an amazing mom! I have no idea how you do it! Steve you are quite a character, and I see your personality in Beckett every time I hang out with him! Don't you love the picture of the proud grandpa? So cute! I have the best brothers in the world. Who would have thought that my brothers would become also my best friends? Love you guys!

Circle of Friends

How great is it that good friends come together to send off an old friend? It was neat to see all of you and we did have a blast! Katie, we will miss you...but we will see you before you leave!!! Congrats to Yvonne, our teacher of the Year!!!!!! We would not have made it through without your leadership!

Umami Moto Photo

Old friend, wine, and sushi. Life doesn't get better than that~ Thanks Casey for the fun outing and catching up! The Milwaukee Roll was my favorite! Next time, maybe there will be room for our elbows :). The picture posted in the aftermath of two hungry ladies...

Constant Gardener

Ah yes! That time of the year again! The garden is planted. This year I will be growing lettuce, watermelon, collards, mint leaves (for tea), strawberries (the ones that the mice will let us have), and sunflowers. The seeds are from my wedding shower a few years back. I know Henry, my guinea pig, will appreciate the greens! The gnome is busy watching the crop as we are away. A sneaky rabbit chewed an entrance and exit to the garden. You can see where Corey had to put wood in to cover the hole. If you would like to be a guest gardener, stop on over!

Birdies!!!

Look at all of the eagles that flew over to Birdies for lunch! This is the last Banking Day of the school year, so it will be our last trip as a staff to our favorite lunch spot. Of course, that does not rule out reunions over summer break! I loved my BLT with avocado on a croissant! Yummmmmy!

Mother's Day Spy!

We topped off our Mother's Day breakfast with a trip to the Milwaukee Public Museum to see the Dead Sea Scrolls. After 3 hours of reading, listening, and being in awe of our creator, we headed over to our dinner reservations. When we arrived at the Safe House, we did not say the password quiet enough, so we had to make chicken noises and movements to gain entry. We had a fantastic feast of burgers, ribs, fries, and onion rings! A family that spies together...stays together :)!
